• All of the sitters are able to provide their own transportation.

• Little Hoot Sitters does not set the pay rate of the sitter; instead, the pay rate is determined by each sitter.

• Little Hoot Sitters does not pay the sitters; all sitters are paid directly by the client.

• Sitters pay for their own background checks which helps to get only serious applicants.

How do I pay the sitters?

Since the sitters are self-employed and are considered independent contractors; they set their own pay rates. Sitters have different rates depending on their age, years of experience, education, and the number and age of children or circumstances.  Please discuss pay rate with the sitter before he/she commits to babysit for your family to ensure that everyone is on the same page regarding pay rate.

How do you screen the sitters?

All sitters go through a 4 step screening process: Application → Background Check → Reference Checks → In-Person Interview

Do you have sitters who are experienced in working with children with special needs?

Do you have sitters who have access on base? We are a military family.

Yes!
