My name is Meg Broster, and I am the owner and operator of Little Hoot Sitters. I grew up in Sneads Ferry, NC and graduated from Dixon High School in 2009. I attended NC State University where I earned my BA degree in English in 2013, and I also attended Western Carolina University where I completed an accelerated nursing program in 2022. I am married to a wonderful man with two young children who I get the privilege of raising! 

I far too often hear mothers in our town say, “I don’t have a trusted babysitter. We don’t know anyone here. I wish my mom lived close by to help. I would never feel comfortable leaving my kids with just anyone.” Growing up in a Marine Corps family myself, I understand the struggles of not having a trusted family member close by who you can call for the occasional date night or to help with the kids during a busy season of life. Also, you might have several close friends who you would trust dearly, but you don’t necessarily feel comfortable asking them to be your babysitter (especially when they have kids of their own). I totally get that- I’ve been there!

All of this and more is why I started Little Hoot Sitters. Having spent many years working as both a babysitter and a professional nanny, I understand just how important it is to create a safe and trustworthy connection—for families and sitters alike. I connect families with dependable, background-checked, carefully vetted babysitters who genuinely enjoy caring for children and understand the responsibility that comes with being welcomed into a family's home.
